Bathgate Flooring Ltd were proud to be the Raised Access Floor company for this stunning new Community Building in London.
A Raised Floor System was nominated for this project in order to ensure full access to cables / services within the flooring. This provides greatest flexibility for the long term function of any commercial building. The stunning design was created by Sheppard Robson Architects who won a design competition in 2005 to create this building. The site was developed by Linkcity with their sister company Bouygues UK as the Main Contractor.
Bathgate Flooring was appointed to manufacture, supply and install over 10,000m2 of PSA steel encapsulated panels to create the raised floor system over 7 floors. The completed building is stunning and commands a real presence within Hounslow centre. So much so that the project was shortlisted for the New London Architecture Awards 2019.
The seven-storey structure comprises of public-facing amenities at the ground floor. There is a library, adult learning and registrar on the first floor. Above all of this are four floors of office spaces for the council. Finally the civic chamber which is positioned on the top floor.
